My Lifelong Passion for Melodic EDM

Music has been my lifelong passion. Ever since I was a little kid, I was drawn to emotive electronic music, with melodic synths, uplifting beats and a drive to make people feel good. As the melodic EDM genre started taking shape in the late 1990s and early 2000s, I became an instant devoted fan. Artists like Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Estiva, Dubvision, Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix, Ruben de Ronde, Avicii, Bryan Kearney, Aly & Fila, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery, Arty, Ben Gold, The thrillseekers, Jonas Steur, RAM, BT, Dash Berlin, Daniel Kandi, Soundlift, Afternova, Ben Böhmer, Eelke Kleijn, Richard Durand, have had and still have a huge influence on my own music by their entirely new sound that fused electronic and house music with melody, emotion, and positive energy.

I was hooked and started going to every festival and show I could. There was something magical about being in a crowd of people all sharing the same experience of being lifted up by these euphoric EDM anthems. I wanted to be part of creating that experience for others. About two years ago, I decided to start producing my own music under the name Ydil Woods. It was time to pour my lifelong passion into crafting melodic EDM tracks that could spread the same joy and positivity I felt listening to my favorite artists.

Progressive house and trance are my genres of choice as a producer. I love crafting emotive synth hooks, dreamy soundscapes, pulsing beats and basslines, and peaks and drops aimed at pure crowd euphoria. But I also produce melodic deep house, channeling a sexier, groovier vibe for more intimate dance floors. My goal is simple: to produce music that moves people and makes them feel good.

It’s been an incredible journey so far, though not without challenges. Producing professional-sounding EDM tracks requires an immense amount of work, practice, and patience. But there’s nothing that matches the feeling of finally discovering that perfect hook or drop after hours of trial and error. And after releasing my first few tracks, beginning to receive messages and videos of fans dancing or reacting to my music gave me chills.

While I still have a long way to go, my dream is to reach as many listeners around the globe as possible and share the same musical joy that has lit up my life since I was a kid. My passion for crafting melodic, emotive EDM music is stronger than ever. I want to reach a big as possible audience and spread positivity through sound. I hope that in the upcoming years, my music is able to reach and resonate with more and more people. And I want to thank everyone who has supported or continues to support me on this journey.
